Cooking Classes–Siam Reap

Local food is one of the best parts of travel, and learning to cook local is a fun experience.  If you want to take a cooking class in Siam Reap some of the current options are as follows:

Duration:  3 hours + meal
Start: 10am and 1pm in English and 5pm in English and French
After a 1 hour trip to the market you will make an appetiser and a main dish of your choosing

A class to learn the flavours of Khmer Cuisine with classic recipes such as banana blossom flower salad, chicken with sugar palm and pineapple and ripe banana with coconut milk and sesame.
Duration: 3 hours starting with a market tour before returning to cook up a storm
These are small group classes with numbers limited to 2-6 participants

Cooks n Tuk Tuks – River Garden image

After a trip to the market you return with fresh produce to cook and eat. 
Duration: 3 hours
Start: 10am
Cost: $25 per person (or $35 for 1 person)
You can arrange to be picked up and taken to the River Garden hotel for $6 by tuk tuk.  And you are welcome to use the hotel pool after the class. 
There is also an option for a full day cooking tour for $65 per person, with a minimum of 2 people.

Beyond Unique Escapes – Cooking tour

The tour starts with a short visit to a local family then returning to the classroom looking at local herbs and produce along the way.  You will follow a cook to produce your own delights.  Recipe cards are provided. 
Duration: 3 hours
Start: morning class 09:30am, afternoon class 12:30. 
Cost: $22 for either a morning or afternoon class or $35 if you combine and do them both
