Located very close to the main street, but on a relatively quiet street overlooking the small river feeding into the Mekong. The big advantage of this location is although it is close to the main street it is not beside any Wats. This means you will not be woken by the early morning bell ringing.
Accommodation is basic but comfortable and clean and while breakfast is not provided there are a number of excellent cafes nearby.
Souk Lan Xang Guesthouse

Souk Lan Xang Guest House is a traditional Lao wooden house. It was originally built in 1943 and was renovated in 2008 so has a local stylish feel with wooden interiors etc..
It can be a little hard to find as it is located in a lane between the main streets.
