1. Albion

Open: Noon to Midnight, closed Mondays

Style: Modern British.  This restaurant has won much popular acclaim.  Albion won the 2010 Best Independent restaurant award in the Time Out KL awards.  They even have a Sunday roast menu – on Sundays of course.  Close to Bukit Bintang and the Istana hotel

Style: Elegant French.  This restaurant is known for it’s atmospheric decoration.  Candles and French ambience.  The menu is modern French but reflecting traditional influences

Style: This is a spot for authentic high quality Italian food.   While the decor is sleek and sophisticated with bold artwork it is based on a traditional Italian trattoria.  The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed.  There is an extensive wine menu and many are imported directly from Italy.

Open: Daily for Lunch & Dinner (closed between 3pm – 6.30pm) On Saturdays, El Cerdo is open for dinner only.

Style: If you like pork – this is the place for you.  Offerings in a shared half suckling pig between two people, glazed ribs, Ham Knuckle “Berliner Eisbein”.  Of course there are options for non-pork eating companions.  Winner of the 2009 Time Out Best European restaurant.

It was also shortlisted in the Best Continental Restaurant category in 2010.

Style   Buffet.  While they describe themselves as tastefully decorated, it is the views this revolving restaurant provide that draws the diners.  Situated on top of the Menara KL Tower they are open daily offering a buffet for brunch, lunch and dinner, with an afternoon tea service in between. It is known for good quality Malay-Chinese food.

Style   Modern and quirky. Shook! has four show kitchens where diners can see their meals being prepared.  A mix of Japanese, Chinese, Italian and western, each with it’s own specialised kitchen.  There is live background music to enhance the experience and the space has been professionally designed by Super Potato of Japan.
